PLANNED GIVING
Establish a long-lasting legacy with your gift.
A Bright Future for the Charles River
For over 60 years, friends like you have invested in our work to protect and restore the Charles River. As the voice of the river, we’ve promoted resilience and expanded access to the river, making sure it is healthy for all.
With new and mounting pressures from a changing climate, how can we ensure the Charles will be protected over the next 60 years?
By making a planned gift, you can ensure the health of the Charles River for generations to come. Planned giving provides a solid foundation for our work together–– allowing our organization to respond to unforeseen events, seize new opportunities, and improve environmental conditions through community engagement and partnerships.
Bequest
A bequest is a gift made by naming Charles River Watershed Association as a beneficiary in your will. It could be included in a new will or added to an existing will or living trust. Making a bequest is a great way to support CRWA while generating income for yourself and your family. One of the great things about bequests is that they can always be modified at a later date, and your assets remain available to you should you need them.
Charitable Gift Annuity
A Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) allows you to provide a gift to Charles River Watershed Association in exchange for a fixed income payment for life. Various types of charitable remainder trusts also provide income to a donor and/or someone the donor designates.
Charitable IRA Rollover
An IRA rollover allows individuals 70 ½ or older to make tax-free IRA charitable rollover gifts directly from their retirement accounts to Charles River Watershed Association. Learn more about IRA charitable rollovers.
Beneficiary Designations
Charles River Watershed Association may be named as a primary or contingent beneficiary to receive part or all of a number of different assets.
