Alfredo serves as CRWA’s Rita Barron Fellow, supporting stormwater management efforts and climate resilience. Under the guidance of the Senior Stormwater Program Manager, he works on stormwater management and design, climate resilience planning, and GIS mapping.
Alfredo earned a B.S. in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences with a concentration in Climate Science from Cornell University. Utilizing his Hispanic heritage, he led a living/learning community of Spanish students as the Resident Language Fellow at Cornell’s Language House. He brings technical, policy, and advocacy skills from two research assistant positions: Cornell’s Experimental Geochemistry Lab–where he helped gain a better understanding of lithium’s behavior in the mantle–and the Hudson River Conservation and Land Use Program–where he helped create an outreach publication that highlighted municipal wetland conservation efforts around the watershed.
Born in L.A. and raised in Nebraska, Alfredo now calls Brookline home. He has a passion for music and coffee, and can be seen outdoors rockhounding, hiking, and playing tennis.
